EMDR Consultation for Therapists
Because sometimes the protocol isn’t the problem. You just need to know what to do next.
EMDR can look very different in the room than it does in training. Complex clients, messy presentations, stuck processing, dissociation, unexpected responses. You don’t always get a neat clinical roadmap.
That’s where consultation comes in.
I offer EMDR consultation for therapists who want to think through challenging cases, strengthen their clinical judgment, and get more confident trusting what they’re seeing in the room. I specialize in EMDR intensives and complex trauma, with a practical, case-focused approach that goes beyond simply checking whether you followed the protocol.
Bring the complicated case. The stuck client. The “Okay, now what?” moment.
We’ll figure it out.

The short answer? As often as you have something clinically useful to bring to the table.
The longer answer is: it depends on how frequently you’re providing EMDR. Consultation tends to be most helpful when you’re actively working with clients and have real clinical questions, challenges, or cases to talk through—not simply because a certain amount of time has passed.
I typically recommend at least monthly consultation, with the option to meet weekly depending on how frequently you’re providing EMDR and how much support you’re looking for.
I also offer consultation specifically for therapists who are starting to offer or already providing EMDR intensives.
Intensives can bring their own clinical questions, particularly during a multi-day intensive. In those situations, more frequent consultation may be helpful—or necessary—to work through what’s coming up in real time.
