Adjunctive EMDR
I’m not trying to steal your clients. I just want to borrow them to support the work you’re already doing with focused trauma processing!
Your clients don’t have to choose between therapists to get EMDR Therapy support. My role is not to replace the therapist that knows the client best, it’s to collaborate!
I provide adjunctive EMDR Therapy extended sessions and intensives for clients working through:
Complex PTSD
Attachment trauma & betrayal wounds
Behavioral Addictions / Urge Reduction (substances, shopping, binge-eating, gambling, sex, avoidance & so on)
Trauma-related patterns that feel stuck
Accidents or single-episode events
I actually love when clients are engaged in psychotherapy with another provider in between sessions with me because it provides additional support and also someone that can notice the more subtle shifts that a client might not notice in themselves.
Extended and Intensive EMDR sessions can easily be scheduled in a complimentary way to the work clients are already doing with their current therapists and prevent gaps in care when trying to return to their therapist after EMDR.

In adjunctive EMDR I usually recommend one of the following depending on the client’s specific needs.
90 Minute EMDR sessions every other week
3 hour extended EMDR sessions monthly
EMDR Intensive 1-2 days for a specific theme and 3-5 days for more more complex narrative clearing intensives.

Absolutely, yes!
As a therapist that has worked on multiple different multi-disciplinary teams (and still works in an IOP weekly providing EMDR to individuals in treatment for substance use) I think that it’s incredibly beneficial to clients to have their providers collaborating.
I’m happy to collaborate with any other providers both before, during, and after adjunctive EMDR services as appropriate and requested by the client.

I am able to provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed mental health providers in the state of NJ.
I also offer free 15 minute consultations to therapists that have questions about when clients may benefit from adjunctive EMDR.
Consultations about adjunctive EMDR can be scheduled here.
